In August 2025, my wife and I decided to take the famous Everest Base Camp trek with Annapurna Treks, and we had a wonderful experience thanks to the company’s excellent organization. We had never been to Nepal before, but we knew that during the monsoon season there was a high risk of walking in the rain for the entire hike. However, far from that, we enjoyed sunny mornings that allowed us to see the highest mountains in the world, from Everest itself to Lothse, Nupse, Pumori, Ama Dablam, Kangtega, etc. It seems that even during the monsoon season, the mornings allow for the trek without rain and with many periods of blue skies, so it’s worth getting up early to start walking. Annapurna Treks’ organization was unbeatable, both from the Sherpa guide and porter throughout the entire trek, as well as from the core team. They provided every activity with carefully curated alternative plans in case the weather didn’t allow for the first option. So much so that, in addition to reaching Everest Base Camp, we also managed to climb to the summit of Kala Patthar to observe the eight- and seven-thousanders of the Khumbu Valley in all their splendor from 5,545 meters above sea level.
Even the visits scheduled in Kathmandu by the company were very interesting, allowing us to learn about the local culture, its Buddhist temples, and its customs. We took home wonderful memories of our 20 days in Nepal in August thanks to Annapurna Treks’ excellent organization.
