Nepal Tour Experience

Your Nepal and Bhutan tour begins in Kathmandu (1,350m), with traditional Nepali hospitality. After settling into your hotel, the journey unfolds with a guided exploration of the historical landmarks of Kathmandu, taking you back 3,000 years and beyond. Visit the self-originated sacred Swayambhunath Stupa, perched on a hilltop with panoramic city views, followed by Kathmandu Durbar Square (Basantapur), a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with historic palaces, temples, and the residence of the Living Goddess Kumari. Experience a rickshaw ride through bustling Ason Bazaar, a market for everything, and learn about what most Nepalese living in Kathmandu require in everyday Nepali life.

The tour continues with a spiritual visit to Pashupatinath Temple, considered the holiest site in Hinduism. You then explore Bhaktapur Durbar Square, known for its preserved medieval architecture and artistic heritage. A scenic drive to Nagarkot (2,175m) rewards you with a spectacular Himalayan sunset, followed by an early sunrise when the mountains glow in golden hues.

Next, fly to Pokhara, a serene city crowned by the Annapurna range. This part of the tour offers relaxation and natural beauty, including a sightseeing boat ride on Phewa Lake with reflections of Machhapuchhre (Fish-tailed Mountain). Over the following days, enjoy a sunrise from Sarangkot, visit Davis Falls, explore Old Pokhara, and discover mountaineering history at the International Mountain Museum before returning to Kathmandu by flight.

Bhutan Tour Experience

On day seven, your Nepal and Bhutan tour continues into the Kingdom of Bhutan. After arriving in Paro, you drive to Thimphu (2,320m), the capital city of Bhutan. In Thimpu, you visit its iconic sites such as the National Memorial Chorten and Tashichho Dzong, as well as a traditional arts and handicrafts school that preserves its spiritualism, history, and identity through handcrafted arts.

From Thimphu, the journey takes you through the scenic Dochula Pass (3,050m), known for its extended views of the Bhutanese Himalayas and its sacred 108 chorten, before descending into the lush Punakha and Wangdue valleys. You also visit the peaceful Phobjikha Valley, a pristine environment known as a winter sanctuary for black-necked cranes. These landscapes add a distinct natural charm to your Nepal and Bhutan tour.

In Punakha, explore the magnificent Punakha Dzong and the revered Chimi Lhakhang (also called Chime Lhakhang), a revered fertility monastery. Back in Paro, take a hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched on a sheer cliff, a rewarding site that uplifts your spirit and physical endurance.

The Nepal and Bhutan Tour ends back in Kathmandu

The Nepal and Bhutan tour concludes with a return flight to Kathmandu, where you visit the sacred Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest and most vibrant Buddhist sites in the world. As prayer flags flutter and monks chant, you reflect on a journey filled with cultural discovery and natural beauty.
