Namtso Lake, situates at an elevation of 4,720 metres from the sea level, in the distance of 240 kilometres, one way, about 5-hours driving, is one of the largest Lakes in Tibet. The visit to this lake, combined with a visit to Yangbanchen Hot spring, is one of the best trips taken in Tibet and done by only a few travellers to Tibet.

Yangbachen, in Dhamsung County, is situated 87 Kilometres out of Lhasa. It is rich in geothermal resources and is famous for its geothermal museum. The widely known Yangbachen Geothermal Power Station has countless hot springs, whose water spurts dozens of meters high. When the valves get, open one can enjoy the magnificent scenery. The trip is a day return if we don’t plan to have an overnight at Namtso.
