Day 1: Departure for Nepal
Day 2: Arrival in Kathmandu (Nepal)
Upon your arrival, you will be received with a traditional welcome in the airport in Kathmandu. After checking in at the hotel, you will be briefed about necessary formalities and the upcoming programme. Depending on arrival time, you will have the choice of visiting nearby shrines or resting.
Day 3: Kathmandu - Pasupatinath - Bhaktapur - Nagarkot
After breakfast we'll set off to Pasupatinath temple: Pasupatinath is considered one of the holiest of Hindu shrines. Pasupati has remained the presiding deity of all ruling Nepalese royalty. One hours visit. Afterwards we'll visit the medieval city of Bhaktapur, recognized by UNESCO World Heritage Site. Three hours visit and free time for lunch. After lunch we'll drive up to Nagarkot.
Day 4: Nagarkot to Chitwan National Park
Nagarkot is one of the most beautiful places to see the sun rise and sun set. We'll wake up early in the morning to see the sunrise, to enjoy the heavenly view of the first rays of the sun strike the tops of the giant white peaks. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Breakfast and drive for Chitwan. Arrival to resort. Lunch and take part in safari programmes.
Day 5: Chitwan Full day safari programmes.
Day 6: Chitwan – Kathmandu
You will be given a wake-up call early in the morning. After a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits you can start a walk to village, our naturalist will brief you about the social and cultural aspects of the villagers and will show you their lifestyle. Return to Hotel for breakfast. At around 9:30 a.m. prepare the suitcases and drive Kathmandu.
Day 7: SWAYAMBHUNATH - KATMANDÚ DURBAR SQUARE – ASON BAZAAR
Breakfast and drive to SWAYAMBHUNATH, a sacred place for buddhist, constructed around the 250 b.c. From the hilltop one can enjoy a panorama of Kathmandu and the rest of the Valley. Then we'll continue on to Basantapur, Kathmandu's Durbar Square, the old palace complex (durbar means "palace"). There admire the multitude of temples and palaces. Some two hundred years ago a Western visitor wrote that there were as many temples as there were houses, and many idols as there were people, in the city. Indeed Kathmandu boasts one of the largest assemblages of magnificent historical monuments and shrines ever built.
Day 8: Dakshin Kali - Pharping - Kirtipur - Patan - Kathmandu
Breakfast and drive to Dakshin Kali, a sanctuary dedicated to the goddess Kali. In Tuesdays and Saturdays animal sacrifices are offered to the goddess. We then visit a sanctuary dedicated to Shesa Narayan. In the same place we'll visit a important buddhist monastery. In the evening we'll visit Patan, an independent Buddhist city-state, and a rival of Kathmandu. Patan is also called Lalitpur ("City of the Arts").
Day 9: Kathmandu - Departure
Well before the check-out time, our office representative and vehicle will arrive at your hotel to take you to Tribhuvan International Airport, where we'll see you off.
