CLASSIC EVEREST TREKKING

The Mt Everest, one of astonishing natural gift to the human beings has been a destination of the world and pride of being there at least to the foot of its stand. Mount Everest was climbed successfully in the year 1953 by the Great Britain team, Sir Edmand Hillary and Tenging Norgay Sherpa The region is famous by the name Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) and its inhabitant Sherpas.

Until 1969 the region has been only visited by expert mountaineers and explorers but in our days it receives more of trekkers for always though every year at least 26 groups enter in this valley only for Everest Expedition and numerous expedition caravans for other mountains. The region is also famous for the beautiful mountains like Ama Dablam and Mt Pumori.

Other good aspect of this region is the Sagarmatha National Park, which is trying to minimize the constant natural upheaval caused by human approach in every possible wall and tops of mountain and hills. This park has brought a great change in nature and surely it will help to minimum the effect of human on the top of the world. For that reason the Sagarmatha National Park is considered as the patrimony of the World. Geologically Young, breaks in abrupt glacial valleys and steep mountains, the park has an extensive vegetation like the pine, the juniper, the birch, many kind of rhododendrons and alpine plants, without forgetting the constant presence of rocks and the snow. Mainly she is the habitat of the red deer, there are also snow leopards and black bears of the Himalayas but it is difficult to find.

Located in the eastern half of Nepal, the Everest region offers a wide range of trekking experiences. From the well-developed trail to Everest Base Camp trek in the remote semi-wilderness areas, there is a choice to suite all comers.

The most frequented part of the region is located in Solukhumbu district, the home of the legendary Sherpas. The northern part of the district (Khumbu) is encompassed in the Everest National Park. To the east of Everest National Park is the Makalu Barun National park, a remote and wild stretch of Mountain peaks and deep and densely forested valleys. To the west is the Rolwaling Valley, a well-protected microcosm of cultures and ecology. The southern part of the district, Solu, is much less frequented by tourist and can be a very rewarding destination in its own right.

Beside Mount Everest there are three other 8000 meter peaks in the region, Lhotse, Cho-Yu and Makalu and in addition numerous other peaks of lesser altitude but no less stunning.
